My recruitment career began in Cape Town, South Africa in the early 1990’s. After three years of computer programming, I was being interviewed by an IT recruiter (my first agency experience) for another programming role. I so enjoyed the interview process, that when asked to describe my ideal job, I replied, “I want to do what you do and I see you have an empty office…” I was offered a position there and then and the recruitment fire in my belly had been ignited! I spent a happy four years recruiting IT staff before moving to New Zealand and subsequently Australia, where I diversified my experience across numerous sectors and completed a Diploma in Management.
With over 15 years of experience in executive recruitment I have placed hundreds of candidates into senior positions across industrial, manufacturing, engineering and other technical industries. I’m now a Senior Recruitment Consultant with Carrera, specialising in sales & marketing roles across all of these sectors.
I have indepth knowledge of the above industries and a strong drive for success which results in me delivering the best possible outcomes for my clients and candidates. I am familiar with the frustrations that can arise from a poor recruitment process and work closely with clients and candidates to ensure a seamless and efficient process that resembles a well-oiled machine!
